THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF MINDANAO

Mayor Rudy Duterte of Davao showed true loyalty to the country when he said he will never accept any move to oust President Arroyo. Duterte said in a press coference that he would rather Mindanao secede from the Philippines and establish itself as an independent Federal Republic thatn to submit to a military junta as planned by the opposition. "We're sick and tired of the antics of the leaders in imperial Manila. They easily change leadership based on people power, which is actually the rule of the mob," said Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.According to an INQ 7 report, the controversial mayor was referring to Edsa 1 and Edsa 2 people power uprisings that ousted two presidents: Ferdinand Marcos and Joseph Estrada, respectively.Duterte, a very popular figure in Mindanao, Wednesday called on Christians, Muslims and lumads to join hands in establishing a separate Mindanao republic should leadership change hands in Manila.
