The Homesonic M.O.

I have been receiving many messages on my Multiply account regarding the Modus Operandi of Homesonic. They have elevated their operations from rigged scratch cards to telephone campaigns. Months back, i got a call from INEX Corporation, supposedly a call center for Homesonic, informing me that i was selected by computer raffle to qualify for a free gift and that i have to visit Homesonic in Robinsons East Mall to claim my prize. Little did these idiots know that my father, the late Atty. Onesimo Banares told me of thier M.O. before he died. This company would lure you in with their rigged scratch cards and enticing you to purchase items you don't really need. My mother was almost duped into buying 40k pesos worth of items had my father not intervened and nerely caused a scene.

Now i've been receiving messages of people getting phone calls from made-up companies supposedly representing Homesonic. If you receive a call like this, ignore it. This is a scheme designed to lure you into spending money on items you don't need. Add to that the fact that the items they sell can be bought elsewhere for less price.

I call on all victims of Homesonic to email me at rodel.banares@gmail.com. This kind of modus operandi should be put to a halt. I encourage all to step up shame campaigns versus this company. LET THE BUYER BEWARE OF HOMESONIC!!

ang homesonic ay hindi scam..isa lang syang marketing strategy..napaka tanga lang talaga ng mga tao na nagagalit sa mga taong ito..trabaho lang ang ginagawa nila..hindi sila nanloloko.. hay nako kung sinasabi ng mga tangang customers na yan na sinasayang lang ang time nila para dun..bakit nila inuna ang pagkuha ng gift item kung may mas importanteng bagay sila na gagawin..ang hirap kasi sa kanila e mapaghangad sila ng libre..masyado silang umamasa..hellooooo??? wala na pong libre sa panahon ngayon..buti nga nabigyan pa sila ng personal security alarm o kaya eye massager..isipin niyo kasi ung nagtatrabaho..kung nanghihinayang sa pamasahe na nagasto pano pa kaya yung mga nagtatrabaho dun...pag nasara yan mawawalan sila ng rabaho ..hindi niyo ba yun naisip.. palibhasa ang kikitid ng utak ng iba dyan...

excuse me, i studied marketing and what homesonic is doing is not a marketing strategy. Calling your home in the guise that you won something is not a strategy. it is a scam to get you to their place and then influence you to buy things you don't need. If it's a strategy, why do they target gullible-looking people and not the obviously-well-to-do? aber???

Beware!! May nabiktima nanaman!! May tumawag din sa aking kaibigan. hindi nya alam kung san nakuha yung phone number nya sa bahay. Napanalunan daw nya ang isang massager sa Home Sonic Tutuban branch. Icl-claim daw nya doon.

Pagdating nya doon, Inikutan sya ng napakaraming sales agent na ginamitan ng mga panlolokong strategy sa kanya. Sa huli, napabili sya dun ng package which costs around P60,000 using his credit card na kinuha daw ng sales agent at sinulat na agad sa receipt.

My mother who is a retired teacher and who is in Tarlac fell into this scam. I had to rescind the transaction with Home Sonic as soon as I arrived from Manila. She was made to believe that she won a prize and have to claim it at the mall where their office is situated. When she finally got there, what she got is a lousy cheap doorbell that can be sold at the lowest P50. and then they enticed her to buy water purifier that cost P46,900.00 . My poor mother who was so gullible gave her credit card. So now, im working it out with their home service at 303-8800 but as of yesterday, they still don't want to give in to my request for the cancellation of this particular transaction. I am hoping with the phone call and letter of complaint to BPI credit card, they would hid it and be at our side. This is what we call an anomalous marketing strategy. I hope that DTI would really look into this.

In Baguio I was a victim of this deceptive sales strategy by ARYSTA located in Porta Vaga Mall. They offered me a free item then for some additional items which I was enticed to buy because of the way they deceived me, I paid them an amount of P51,900. Buti na lang natakot ko sila at binalik din yung pera ko after some negotiations.

me and my mom got scammed yesterday by arysta marketing at elizabeth mall here in cebu city.. they claimed we won some items and have to promote an item which we have to pay for P49, 000.00.. all the free items cost P175, 000.00 total so we thought it was really a bargain.. when we got home, I checked the internet for the prices of the items we won and found out they were actually cheaper than what we thought and they cost P49, 000.00 more all less so it was like we were paying for the items we allegedly won.. and I also found out that there were also other victims that experienced the same scam we had.. I hope they will stop this lie they term as marketing strategy because not only did they violated the consumer's act but also broke our trust and confidence to their company as well.. my mom used her sister's credit card to pay for the promoted item so we are still in the process of canceling the transaction..

aileen, hindi rin biro ang gumasta ka ng P14k para sa mga bagay na pinabibili sayo. oo't kawawa ang mawawalan ng trabaho pero rason ba yon para hayaan na lang natin ang ganitong panloloko? kung hindi mo hangad manloko, bakit kailangan may sandamakmak na tauhan kang nakatambay sa escalator para mamigay ng scratch cards? Bakit di sila gaya ng SM Dept. store na nasa loob ng store at naghihintay ng customer?

Thanks Mapangurirat for this. It really should be stopped! They had me invited too at their Starmall branch just this morning, but the scam is very obvious so hindi naman ako ngpabiktima. I just wonder why they are still operating when I researched in the net that DTI has tahen action on this.
Kawawa yung mga mabibiktima nila!

Yes, I was a victim of Home Sonic. I can't believe that happened. The question is why are they still operating if DTI have made action on them? They are still operating in STAR MALL Shaw Blvd. Their items are overpriced. One more thing, my credit card was credited full amount and not the actual transaction of installment for 6 months 0% interest. This is way more than deceiving, a scam and this should be stopped.

submit your complaint to DTI-NCR..as of now mag sasampa na ko ng case sa homesonic,
may sked kami ng mediation w/ DTI last april 19, pero wala naman kaming natatanggap na advise from DTI, kaya hindi kami nakarating, pero dahil sa gusto ko talagang lumaban, pumunta kmi sa GMA at nag patulong, last April 26 may sked kami ulit ng mediation, muntik na naman kaming hindi nakarating dahil nga sa wala namang advise, buti nalang nag punta kami ng morning sa DTI at dun nalang namin nalaman na may mediation pala kaming sked ng 2pm that day, pero hindi dumating ang representative ng HOMESONIC..at DTI representative nalang ang nag sabi sa amin at may binigay na documents na willing naman daw makipag settle ang homesonic pero less 10% sa total amount, pero hindi ako pumayag, dahil wala naman kaming napakinabangan sa ITEM nila tapos kakaltasan ng 5,490 malaking pera din yun kung tutuusin, hindi mo mapupulot yun, kaya advise ng DTI na ituloy nalang ang reklamo....
kaya advise ko sa lahat ng naloko ng homesonic, pumunta na kayo sa DTI-NCR NOW na...para sabay sabay nating kasuhan ang homesonic

Ikinakahiya ko na isa ako sa naging victim ng Homesonic Metrotown Mall, Tarlac City..Nabigyal lang ako ng free alarm ay nagpadala na ako sa sales talk nila.. may CONGRATULATIONS CONGRATULATIONS pa sila bec. nabunot ko ang highest privilege daw na may free massage chair and beauty massager.patawag tawag pa sila kuno sa main office if true ung nabunot ko..and may kumausap pa sa akin kuno na galing ng main office..54k ung bibilhin ko na induction cooker at makukuha ko na ung napakaraming item na inilabas.sabi ko pag uusapan muna naming mag asawa and babalikan din namin at dat day rin pero mafoforfeit daw..namimilit silang mag cash out ako..nahypnotize nila ako, i paid 5 000 at ang ibinigay ay multi purpose cooker na napakamura lang naman pala..bastos din ung agent nila na Albert Espiritu, kasi nung nagsample sila nung massage, hanggang sa malapit sa private part ay ipinapaabot ung massager. hindi ko alam bkt di ko nagawang nagalit nung tym na yun, maybe hypnotizer nga sila....Jimmy ng Homesonic Metro town bilang na ang araw mo..sana man lang mapsara na talaga yung homesonic na yan... hay sayang pera ko,,sweldo ko na yun ng isnag buwan...

Yesterday a girl called up and informing me that i won" napili raw ang landline no. ko. They are celebrating 12 yrs anniversary daw. "ipakita n'yo lang po ang claim# na binigay ko sa inyo wala po kayong dapat bayaran, at kahit na sino po ang lapitan nyo roon basta ipakita nyo lang po ang claiming number." Unang binigay nya ay isang lugar sa monumento tinanong kung malayo kami roon sabi ko oo, binigay nya ang HOmesonic sa starmall.

Nagtaka ako paano nakuha ang no. ko.

Ngayon nmn nagtataka ako bakit may bumibili na "ayaw" daw nila. At binibigay ang credit card nila?! Paano nangyayari iyon? Isa akong maulirat na buyer kahit na saan ako mapunta. At pag pinalilibutan ako ng maraming nag-aalok iniiwanan ko. I always want to take my time on buying things. Pag nakulitan ako i walk away. Anyway, I'm curious dito kaso nga lang Friday, my busiest time. After office may work pa rin. Sayang di ko sila makukulit hahaha!

pare pareho lang tayong biktima. ang masakit pa, parents ko pa ang niloko. that was only last week. kung andun lang kami ndi sana cla makaka gastos ng almost 90k para sa manlolokong arysta na yan.we tried to give it back, pero madami cla rason.kung hindi lang kami nagmamadali that tym narefund sana namin pera namin. if only naging matapang kame to defend ourselves. may araw din cla.. i hope may magawa kau sa panloloko nila. please, naiinis talaga ako sa knila. sa mga nabasa q na strategy nla, naiinis tlga ako kc ganun ang ginawa nila sa parents ko. =(

FOOH___22------} last 23rd of July my mom and i went to TUTUBAN CENTER MALL 2, den suddenly two fucking staff (CARMIE CAALAM) approached us telling that we have a free bag coz its their co. anniv....we refused to accept that fucking free bag, unfortunately there was no way out from that place coz the escalator wasnt working dat tym...we didnt have any choice but to look for the other way ...so badtrip!!!! coz the other escalator was near on their place (HOMESONIC)...they were very accomodating even if my face wasnt dat ryt....they used that situation telling us " don din naman kau dadaan mam kc sira yang escalator kya daanan nio nlang mam libre nman po yan dhil anniv po namen...) since taung pilipino has dis attitude na "sige n nga, and2 n rin lng naman.." kya aun, we entered the HELL........den they started to massage my mom and i wid their chair massager and beauty matte massager, that's BULLSHIT!!!...hahha! i was wondering dat tym...so d scam issue of kyowa entered my mind...so i asked them what was that all about.......and the DEMON CARMIE answered "this is to advertise our products!!!!..while we are waiting for the fucking bag!then suddenly the pregnant women entered and let me sign the paper,,,den i started giving my false information...my god, they hav no right to know how much savings i have....CRaZy deMons!!! this pathetic staff(pregnant women)started their strategy..telling us that we have won 10 umbrellas!!! so wat?!!!hahah...and den suddenly after confirmation from their so called head office they said that although we didnt qualify to that fucking thing.. we still have the privilege to pick one of their certicate.....den sbi pa ng isang staff pag blue daw ang nabunot q try again.......den i picked one envelope, and its blue!! but hnd try again ang nkasulat...discounted 2000 ang nakaindicate...and at the back of that voucher , it is indicated that we have a free energy cooker and the x in game chair...i asked pano namn nangyari un!!! Sb ng mga kumag ang swerte q daw dhil aq daw ung 5 n naqualify pra d2...then i keep on asking na pano nangyari un......

When i went home, i did a research and found out that HOMESONIC is a SCAM!!!!!! i called the DTI, telling that there are cases filed against them,, then i called SEC, telling that HOMESONIC doesnt appear on their database and HOMESONIC doesnt have a licencse at all...My god!!! and after a day, i went back to TUTUBAN to get my money back....but they refused to give it...nkakatawa..ung isang staff, pinakilala sken ung supervisor nila,,,and den sb q last tym manager ang pakilala sken s taong yan ngaun supervisor nlang...gRabe!!! den i talked to thje so called manager/supervisor....trying to tell him to please coordinate it to their head office..and then d p xa nkikipagcoordinate may response n agad xa..patawa tlg!!!! dameng excuses!!! sb q asan ang head office nila, pupuntahan q...tapos hnd maisulat ng manager kung wat specific address...den suddenly ung isang staff lumabas form the rum giving the business card...grabe...ung business card ang nakalagay customer service,,sb q asan ang head office d2?? un daw ang head office nila.....at ittransfer din nman daw aq s knila khit pumunta daw aq don....anong klaseng head office un....hahah..at lahat nman daw ng company may negative feedbacks....nandamay p! kapal ng muka!!! hnd cla kinaya ng nerves q kya i did a scandal..i even tried to talk to one of their customer giving the handouts i have...and nagsisigaw aq s loob at labas ng office nila informing people that HOMESONIC is scam!!!!!!!!!!.....now, i want to file a complaint against them,,, that is only a small amount pero wat i want to is give that fucking company together with its demon staff a lesson.....

hello. after reading all your comments here mas lumakas loob ko i pursue our case with this HOMESONIC,ARYSTA,AND GREENTOP.. yes theyre just same companies.. paiba iba lang name nila so talagang questionable.. anyways naloko nila mother in law ko last month worth 57k. nagkamali sila ng niloko kasi ill make sure that ill get to the bottom of this case.. nagfile nako sa dti pero kausap ko narin si mr.alex santos of XXX.. at advice nga samin ng nephew ni mil na ex nbi pero naa doj na nga ipaNBI daw namin..pero lets see.. atleast madami options pag di nila nirefund ang ginoyo nila sa mil ko mananagot sila talaga sakin at sa batas... lets keep in touch sa mga niloko nila...

ako din nabiktima just recently with this scrupulous persons using the the same sales talks..they were able to take my last P5,000 pesos ..which is intended for my medication..the following day, I went with my niece to return the item,which I took just to get even with the amount they took from my ATM account,which I wonder why they were able to get ,when I didnt give them my PIN #..thats how tricky they are stealing your money..I hope our concern agency could look into this matter, before they steal more from this innocent people..calling the attention of the DTI office &SEC..

I just got scammed last Sunday. They are now using "Hoffman" brand to lure customers. My credit card was charged with 69,900k. Whatever happens, I'm going to cancel the transaction and hope to get a full refund/no charge. Or else, they will experience unimaginable hell. They will... Watch out!!!

when i came home jst this nyt,my father told me that someone called our home phone and said that we won some kind of raffle from pldt that our phone number was selected to receive a gift from greentop @ gaisano city mall here in bacolod city.according to them,i wud need to visit their office to claim my prize before 7pm.they left their phone number and a code and tell them that the call came from a certain SAMANTHA ROBLES.so what i did since it was already 8pm and i know that the mall is open until 9 pm,i called them up,this idiot girl sounds like nervous telling me that they are not from pldt and gave a different company name instead.by that time i already thought that something is not right,so i went upstairs check on google,key in "greentop bacolod" and i found this blog with a handful of complaints! gusto ko sanang puntahan ung office and toy with their so called "strategy".or maybe just get their prize and get the hell out hehehe.im really thankful i found this blog! so for those who are scammed,i am really sorry to read what you've all posted in here.its your right to file more complaints the legal way and get your money which i know u all work hard for..PLEASE BE VIGILANT PEOPLE!!! AND HOPE THESE SCAMS WILL END AND THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT GET WHAT THEY DESERVE!

as far as i concern to all the people who claim a free items on home sonic its not a modos operandi as wat you said bcoz im also a buyer from that company but im against on all the people who said all of these hings against on them bcoz all of the people inside there showroom is nice and good,i know that i dont need the items but i buy an items bcoz i was satisfied on there attitude not all of the custumer buying bcoz the product is good but bcoz of the service,,on the other people telling all of this kind of words on them is those people doesnt have enough money to spend or those people that cannot understand there work,..if you are agreesive buyer that is your weakness problem on your self not on them,..theres 2type of marketing startegy the one is old startegy which doing sales like having sales lady and waiting the customer went on there shop,,but on the case of the home sonic,arysta,or other company that doing this kind of business,,they are doing the 2nd type which is selling wit defferent startegy,..not only here in the philippine i try on this kind of business,when i also went on thailand,malaysia,shanghai,indonesia,even in europe they had this kind of startegy..so for all of those people nxt time think frist before you buy,bcoz regret is all in the end..okay

My MOM is a victim just today...I wasn't there so I was not able to prevent the scam,.I know this strat they do,sadly,I wasn't there..so when I found out I burst out and made actions..first,we went to report to the police at station 7,baguio city..Homesonic is the culprit,situated at Abanao Square..next is, we called MoM's credit card company and reported lost of credit card,and that we are cancelling any transactions made today..credit card agreed...next thing we did,we went back to homesonic,and informed them to go get back their stuffs at home coz not a single cent could they get from the credit card...as of this moment,I am enjoying the free stuffs they gave..so whether they come to get it or not,up to them..worst is, after reading all of these complaints,I am thinking of reporting to DTI and bombo radyo baguio...ginantso nila mama ko,gagantsuhin ku sila,,lulumahin ku stuffs nila until they'll find out na inactive ung credit card..
ang nakakatawa,nung bumalik kami,eh galit na galit aku,sinigawan ku sila sabay sabing manggagantso sila,nginig na nginig ung lalakeng hinarap ku,hahahaha..

My story happened 2days ago and until now i cant accept the fact that am included in the statistics ng mga naloko nila.

Ive read a lot of same stories like mine but none posted if they get the refund or the credit card company cancelled the transaction.

I tried to call Homesonic and they are firm that they dont give a refund because the transaction is already closed even if i return all the items. I also called DTI and was advise to file a complaint with supporting docs but would take months to get the result. DTI NCR also dont have the updated status of the 2007 Temporary closure of Homesonic. I even begged to the credit card company to cancel the transaction but to no avail.

Do you guys think DTI can help us?

I had the same exact experience with this type of scam 2 years ago when they were still located at National Insular Life Building. Reading your post made me feel like I wrote this article myself. The good thing about mine is that I got home with a free eye massager without giving them any monetary deposit. But yes they put so much pressure on me that I should come up with the money now or lose all the prizes. They even told me that if I were willing, they would go home with me to drop off the discount items I chose and then collect the cash of P51,900.00. As if they were suggesting that my family should chip in the amount since they don't want all of this to go to waste. You could just imagine how desperate they were?
And just this day, my mum received a phone call that she won a prize and should claim it at 3rd floor Abanao Square. They said that the prize is an 10th year anniversary gift from Digitel! I immediately told mum that this could be the same scam I was in before. To convince my mum of it i browsed the internet with the words "Homesonic Abanao Square Baguio City" and your post turned up I read it to my mum and family. Oh yeah we are convinced not to go on with claiming the eye massager.
I sure hope you can bag these rotten scammers. Thank you for you post and Good luck!

Naging biktima din ako at metrotown tarlac...same story with u guys,parang nahepnotized ako-hindi ko personality ang bumili ng ura-urada lalu pa at hindi ko naman kailangan. parang nahismasmasan na lang ako when i got home. Pinablock ko credit card ko and kinabukasan isinoli ko items with a policeman with me. Nagprint ako 13 pages of your blogs,write ups about their scam, and told them they are violating RA 7394. I also told them if they will not going to cancel my transaction with them i will use media to expose their scam.Natakot siguro kaya cancel nila transaction ko but i can refund my money P51,900 within 7 days pa daw. Nakakapanginig cla grabee...
Kinausap ko rin employees nila na magbago na cla trabaho kc di cla magpo-prosper sa buhay pag nanggagantso cla. tHEY ARE AWARE OF IT KASO MGA HIGH SCHOLL GRADUATES LANG AT WALA SILANG CHOICE. IBINIBIGAY NA NGA NUNG 1 EMPLOYEE NILA UNG NUMBER NYA para makapagtrabaho na daw siya ng iba...

homesonic is still operating in starmall in shaw blvd. i joined the legions of victims this july. i googled everything about homesonic, hypnotic selling, PLP or pneumo-linguistic programming in order to understand what happened to me while i was inside their "showroom". i am not a gullible person nor an impulse buyer. so i studied their selling technique through the internet.
i went back to the mall together with all the receipts, sales contract, warranty cards and complained in the mall's security office. the head of security summoned the homesonic manager to their office, i filled up various forms. in the complaint form i wrote "i bought these appliances while my mind was being systematically controlled". after 7days, i returned all 7 appliances and they issued me a checque. i got my money back!

Yes, they are still at Star Mall, a few months ago, one of them a girl approached me and said they had a freebie a door alarm. I just need to fill up a form to get the freebie, so I went to their store filled up some forms and she asked me for a valid ID, I gave her a driver license, she said to wait a while to get my door alarm and to encode my info while I sit at the massage chair. After a few minutes she returned with the door alarm and returned my driver's license then I left their shop. She doesn't even try to sell me anything, I've also notice that I think there are just 1 or 2 more staff on the store when we got there. And I've noticed that the girl who talked to me is a newbie. I guess they can't convince you as mob if there are only a few of them This happened around 12:30 I guess the others are on their lunch break or she didn't even bother with me because I was poorly dressed that day, just a tshirt, jeans and a backpack. Maybe they realized I didn't have any money. So they just gave me the door alarm which by the way got broken after a few days of use.

kahapon tinawagan din ako ng homesonic hinahanap yung may ari ng phone landline nanalo daw sa PLDT electronic raffle, buti nalang wala ang mom ko ako ang kinausap. Hanggang 4pm lang daw ang claim kasi nasa booth lang sila sa Starmall Shaw mandaluyong. I entertain ko naman pero alam ko na scam sila kunwari kinuha ko ang claim code. hehehe tapos sabi ko sige pupuntahan ko. tapos sinabi nya alam nio naba sir kung saan kukunin, sabi ko sa starmall, tapos sabi nia sa groundfloor malabit sa Bench na store. Halata nia na hindi ako interesado kaya yun nga sinabi nia hangang 4pm lang daw. noon paman hindi ako naniniwala sa mga yan at sinabihan ko na ang mom ko na wag maniwala dyan, tyaka ala rin akong credit card kahit gusto gusto kong kumuha at kahit afford ko naman. siguro kung pumunta man ako ala naman silang makukuha sakin dahil ala naman akong credit card. pati yung mga text na scam na paloadan at nanalo daw tawagan ang atty. diko nalang pinapansin. I wanted to complain with DTI bec.I learned dami na nilang pending cases dun...the sad thing is that my mom would not like to pursue the complaint kasi ayaw nya ng gulo....kainis talaga yang mga gagong yan!

My poor father was just victimized in Metropolis StarMall. We tried to return the items today and asked them to call citibank and cancel the charge or refund us coz may stamp naman sila sa receipt ng 7 days money back guarantee daw. They asked us to file complaint and reason for return of items to be sent to their customer service sa main office at sa monday pa daw yun open. Ang nilagay namin reason ay akala ng father ko installment yun pero straight charge pala at wala sa tamang pag iisip ang father ko to make proper judgement or decision to purchase at na lure sya. Hindi pa namin sinabi na alam naming scam sila, pag di namin ma reimburse yun chaka namin sasabihin. Ask ko lang kung may nagtagumpay ba dito na nareclaim ang money nyo?

I am adding my complaint about their unethical tactics to the hundreds, possibly thousands of similar stories already on file on the internet and the Department of Trade & Industry.

It is amazing to me that with so many complaints every day (and not one satisfied customer!) this
outfit is still in business ---apparently pulling the same crooked stunts several times every day, preying on vulnerable widows, grandmothers, pregnant women, and elderly people.

My Story is the same as everybody else's.

I was on my way to pick up my laundry on the aternoon of 8 Dec 2012 when a lady approached me outside the Homesonic Store in Starmall and said “We are having an anniversary giveaway so come in and get a free gift.”
I said “No I don't need anything” We are in a small hotel room ; leaving Manila on a plane in a few days and have absolutely no use for this stuff . We can't possibly carry it with us -- free or otherwise. I will want storage charges and delivery handling charges if I have to bring it back.” The delivery girls paid no attention and left my “ winnings.”

At this point I looked at the “sales contract” and realized I had signed it. In my euphoria over my big winnings, I had also signed a visa credit card slip which I later learned was for 49,900 pesos.

As it was late in the day, I waited till the first thing next morning. Then I called the store asking to return everything, cancel any credit card charges & and get back my cash money under the “7 Day money back guarantee” clearly stamped on my “sales contract.”

The supervisor who would not identify himself said “ You used the stuff and so no return is possible.”

I told him everything was in the original boxes, seals not broken, except for the massage chair which the girls had unpacked and which we never used or even sat in. I said “please pick up everything immediately.” This supervisor and later ones who called that day insisted “we will only take back merchandise in unopened boxes and only if you agree to pay us half the money, i.e. 25,000 + 7,000 as our service charge.” I said “No way” Then I cancelled their credit card charge on the internet.

After this the next day I received frantic calls from Homesonic demanding 32,000 pesos cash and their goods back.

My husband said to the caller “ we will deliver everything back today if you refund our 7000 pesos cash” The unidentified supervisor said “bring it in and maybe we will give you a check.”

My husband said “Yesterday we saw hundreds of complaints about Homesonic's similar SCAMS on the internet and SO we don't trust your checks. Will you give us cash OR NOT?” The answer was , “No you still owe us 32,000P charges even if we take back anything.

At this point I called the Filipino Dept of Trade to make a complaint, but as the procedures there involved personal visits, forms, and so many complications that I decided it was easier to lose the 8000 pesos.

And that pretty much is the whole story.

So today, the same thing happened. Glad to have the ehappy.tv card for free without paying a single cent. Atleast that's what they promised over the phone. Then they had me draw an envelope for which they said it was the grand prize I got. They then presented me tons of appliances/beauty kits/cooking sets for which you'll really drool on. But you can't get none of this unless you paid 56kphp or atleast make a downpayment of 20k.

I had to decline. I've seen many loopholes here. I was told I can make a downpayment of 10k and then come back when I'm ready to pay in full. Only then I can get my items. LOL. What if by the time Im ready to get my stuff, they're nowhere to find!

Also, I asked them, why not do your business over the internet. They said they're an advertising company. But they dont utilize the internet for their marketing strategy. Its insane, really. The woman there said "It only builds up competitors so we deal with them directly. Besides, this money is supposed to be the budget for paying popular people market our products on tv but we've decided we give it out as prizes to real consumers instead."

Lol, honey.. I'm smarter than you think.

hey siguro kami pinakalatest victim ngayon lang Oct 22, 2013 -___- ugh kasi my mom got a phone call that she won a prize to be claimed sa homesonic at first ayaw namin pumunta but were so curious talaga na bakit saan nila nakuha ang tel namin so we went -__- btw sa Metrotown Mall Tarlac nangyare ito


nung pumunta nga kami WOW ang friendly ng people there they entertained us and they let my mom sit on this Kiyoshi chair massager thingy and may foot massager pa .. then nagpakita sila ng different products na pwede namin bilhin na medyo mabigat sa bulsa and we cant afford .. at first talaga may duda nako so nanahimik ako .. then after all the sales talk blablabla they asked a survey tungkol sa may natutunan ba kami sa pagsasalestalk kung talagang nakinig kami then yea we answered some questions and presto ! may pinapabunot silang cards yun and i was the one who made bunt and i got 2000 worth na gift card .. at first all of them were happy kasi nga yun nakabunot kami ng ganun kalaking certificate and what shocked me the most is makukuha nmn yung massager and yung chair massager thingy then shock kami ng mom ko syempre di naman namin expect na ganun at may pinagtatanung pa sila kung anu if globe user kami ? pldt daw ba gamit namin and anung bank .. and they let ut my mom's card na may logo ng visa and 3 points daw nakuha namin and we got this rice cooker thingy ..
yun like the other victims we have to buy one of their products and my mom chose yung cooker thingy worth 60000 pero since we got 2k idededuct yun so 58k nalang and my mom paid na pero at first ayaw nya .. ugh ! then kadating namin sa bahay di ako mapakali kasi we cant feel na we won and then i checked about their company and presto NGANGA ako sa nabasa ko na andami na palang victims .. i hope they will put a stp to this kasi its not good .. we accepted them in GOOD FAITH and yet this is what theyre going to repay us ?! sana naman mapasara na yang mga stores na ganyan !!! asa mall pa man din TSH !!

tssk :-( sa homesonic kame pinadala ng agency namen and nakapasa kame sa interview ,nakapagpasa na din kame halos lahat ng req. puro original paman dn pero kulang pa daw ng summary ng medical kaya di pa kme pinag orient ng kaibgan ko ,haay tapos ngaun malalaman qng scam ln un . Grabe ! ndi na lang ako tutuloy pero pwede pa kayang mabawi ung mga req. n pnasa q ?sayang din kc ung gastos lalo na ung hrap ng pagkuha nun .

Bkit sa mga nbsa ko po dito dmi nagrereklamo at dami nrin lumapit sa DTI.. Nagstart nga commen dito july 2009 pero until now ngooperate prin yan HOMESONIC n yan at patuloy parin nambibiktima.. Same style.. Kanina lang natawagan nila ako.. At sad to say nabiktima nila ako.. Nakakalungkot lang isipin na napakatagal na nila ginagawa ang ganito... Napaka dami ng nagrereklamo but still.. They still operating :(

Homesonic representative just called me up sa land line ko na through random computer selection nanalo daw ako ng Happy TV card. kunin ko daw sa Starmall alabang. binigyan pa ako ng code #LM0397. ang tumawag sakin ay Levi Mercado. Binigay pa landline nila # 88834 7316. no money involve an sabi. malaman ko ito bukas...
